High School students perform well at Solo & Ensemble Contest!
We had 3 solos and a saxophone trio receive 1st division superior ratings at the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Lumberton High School on Saturday, February 10. The saxophone trio as well as 2 soloists advanced to state and will perform once again at the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Competition at the end of May in Pflugerville.
In order to advance to state on a solo performance the student must play their music by memory and receive a superior rating. An ensemble can advance by performing and receiving a superior rating.
