Oh what a day it was at Deweyville High School on Friday, 9/28/18.  The day started with a successful, fun filled pep rally hosted for our undefeated Lady Pirates which featured the best school spirit and atmosphere we have seen all year.  The Varsity Lady Pirates used this atmosphere as they hosted the Lady Rebels of Evadale at 4:30 PM that afternoon.  The Lady Pirates started the match off slow, with the Lady Rebels taking the first set (16-25).  Facing the adversity of being behind a set, the Lady Pirates fed off of the awesome crowd to kick it into gear and took the next three sets (25-18)(25-22)(25-20) to take the match.

With the win, the Lady Pirates are 7-0 in district and 19-12 for the year.  JV2 lost their 1st game in district in a close 3 set battle with the scores of (25-17)(18-25)(13-15).   Deweyville hosts Sabine Pass on Tuesday night to start the second round of district play.
